Technology Director
Strategy, infrastructure, security, systems, classroom technology, device programs, vendor relationships and the million little things between them.
I’m Kim Getz, a K-12 technology director with deep roots in higher education IT, infrastructure, client services and security. I enjoy untangling complicated systems, building useful tools and translating technical problems into practical next steps.
Since 2025, my work has centered on modernizing school technology, strengthening cybersecurity, improving SIS and identity workflows, supporting classroom technology and keeping the daily machinery of a district running.
Strategy, infrastructure, security, systems, classroom technology, device programs, vendor relationships and the million little things between them.
Graduate certificate study at the University of Pittsburgh focused on the overlap between cybersecurity, policy, law and organizational decision-making.
When I am not buried in systems work, I photograph nature, keep bees and document the tiny dramas happening around the apiary and garden.
Bee behavior, pollinator observations, photos from the yard and occasional garden detective work live over at GetzApiary.com.
